Power Rangers Ninja Steel

As fans guessed, Toqger (2014) would be skipped just like Go-Busters (2012) and Ninninger (2015) will be adapted in Power Rangers Ninja Steel (2017). Copyright notice was found by fans a few days ago. Saban has renewed with Nickelodeon through 2018. Also Judd Lynn will be the executive producer once again. Now next up is will the second season be called "Super Ninja Steel" or "Ninja Super Steel"?

"Saban's Power Rangers Ninja Steel starts deep in space, where Zircon is the reigning champion of the most popular intergalactic game show in the universe, and monsters battle to prove who is the mightiest warrior. Zircon is determined to become invincible by controlling the mythical Spirit Crystal, which contains six supernatural Ninja Power Throwing Stars. The only thing standing in his way is a new team of heroic teenage Power Rangers who possess the Spirit Crystal. The evil Zircon sends his warrior contestants down to Earth to steal the Crystal, where each epic battle against the Rangers is broadcast throughout the universe. Together, the Rangers must master their arsenal of Throwing Stars, Zords and Megazords, each made of legendary ninja steel, in order to stop this evil threat and save our planet from destruction."

I don't really blame them for skipping Toqger. I'm still kinda shocked by how bland the outfits were. Ninninger is much more "Toyetic."

The only thing about this plot description that annoys me is that they're rehashing the Dino Charge storyline in that the main villain is again after the source of the Rangers' powers. With Chip having shown such creativity with Dino Charge, it's disappointing that he would immediately re-use the same premise.

I'm actually totally OK with ToQGer being skipped. What I loved about ToQGer the most is the utter timelessness of its story - it's not bogged down by elements inherent to Japanese culture (those that do show up are just touches of flair), and the core lessons it taught about it being good to be different and think creatively will never go out of style. It's why I recommend ToQGer to people who ask where to start with watching sentai, and I always feared that any American version would have lost a lot of that in translation.

Im really excited! Honestly, I like ToQger to be the next generation. The concept of a game maybe will have inspiration of "The Hunger Games" and "The Running Man. Anyway, we must to wait for this.
